Heartland Incubation Hub Launches Program for Idea Stage Entrepreneurs

Heartland Incubation Hub Launches Program for Idea Stage Entrepreneurs
September 25, 2018 admin

Heartland Incubation Hub- a venture of Oluaka Institute has launched a program for Idea stage entrepreneurs tagged HIH Launchpad.

The Hub was established to solve the problem of the inadequate support structure, mentorship system for incubating, or developing business ideas by young people in south-east Nigeria.

The Idea behind the program is to give young people the basic skill and knowledge to startup. The contents are designed to give insights about how start-ups work, learn what determines start-up success and get the chance to start working on a world-changing idea.

The Hub is further positioned to support local entrepreneurs to build innovative and profitable businesses.  “It’s important for us to build the capacity of young people in the region so we can have notable startups from Owerri and the south-east and the HIH Launchpad is part of the approach to achieve that,” says the Hub Manager Kolapo Ogungbile.

Launched last year September, the hub hosts regular monthly meetup tagged #Imostartupfriday to develop and engage the ecosystem.  Part of its program is a developer program tagged ODP to train world-class software engineers and application is currently out for the second cohort.

The Hub has also partnered with #Shemeansbusiness to run digital training for female entrepreneurs, supported the hosting of startup Grind by Google for Entrepreneurs, Forloop and other tech events.

Heartland incubation Hub recently concluded an accelerator program in partnership with a Finland Based organization (Slush GIA) Slush Global impact accelerator where over 12 startups participated.

HIH Launchpad is designed for anyone interested in digging deeper into the exciting world of start-ups.  Register to be part of HIH Launchpad Here
